Soo Stevens Clarke shares information about Barbados Rotary Matching Grant trip

Mesa Sunrise Rotarians Soo Stevens-Clarke and Tiffany Jones recently returned from a three week trip to Barbados, representing the Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club and District 5510 and the completion of a year long effort preparing for and shipping boxes of fire extinguishers, fire safety equipment and supplies to the Barbados Fire Department, where a fire safey collaborative was developed and implemented in October of this year. Soo and Tiffany participated in the installation of fire extinguishers and smoke alarms in homes where families were unable to afford the fire safety equipment. Instruction and training was also provided to the home owners who were grateful for the additional fire safety services. A plaque from the Barbados Fire Department and Barbados Rotary Club was given by Soo Stevens-Clarke to Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club President Mary Cameli during the club presentation.
